Registration for the 2013-2014 school year is now underway!!!
Registration began January 7, 2013
First Church has a private preschool program available for children who have turned three, four or five years old by September 30 of the school year and will not be attending Kindergarten. This is a state-licensed, Step Up To Quality star-rated center with degreed teachers and trained, experienced assistants in every classroom. We offer competitively priced monthly tuition, large, bright classrooms, small group sizes and low teacher/child ratios. Classes are offered Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 9:15-11:45 am -or- 12:30-2:50 pm. An additional Tuesday/Thursday Enrichment Program is being offered this year from 9:15-11:45 a.m. for four and five year olds. Our main objective is to foster a positive self-image in each child and to provide a happy and positive early learning experience for all of God’s children. It is our goal to nourish the social, emotional, physical and intellectual growth of each child in a positive way through play, and to meet the Early Learning Content Standards for each child as presented by the Ohio Department of Education. Weekday Christian Preschool is a place where love and learning come together.
Examples of daily activities in our preschool:
• Learning center rotations
• Circle time
• Curriculum related activities (small group/individual interaction)
• Art or craft activity
• Gross motor activity and group games in the gym
• Music and movement activities
• Story time and language arts exploration
• Nutritious snack time
A weekly chapel time, as well as in-house field trips and other special events and parties throughout the year are also part of our scheduled activities. The following are some examples:

• Fall Festival and Costume Parade
• Thanksgiving Day Feast
• Polar Express Day
• Birthday party for Jesus
• Parent/Teacher Conferences
• Baseball Day
• Akron Zoo visit
• Beach Day

• Monthly cooking activities with “Grandma Char”
