The Epworth Choir of the
First United Methodist Church,
Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio
The Epworth Choir was founded in 1934 by William Schutte, The choir made its first trip was in 1965 to Detroit on a short weekend in February. The Choir then made its first annual Spring Break tour to Nashville in 1966 and has continued to tour to locations such as Dallas, New Orleans, Florida, Boston, New York, Chicago, and Washington DC every year since.
The current Epworth choir, made up of 7th through 12 grades, is one of four winning choirs of the Jubilation competition for church choirs of Northeast Ohio sponsored by WCLV classical radio in Cleveland. They have placed twice already in the past 4 years.
The choir sings every Sunday morning for the 8:30 service at the church from September through May.
