2012 Chess Camp - July 16-20
A fun and inspiring introduction or improvement to the game of chess! It's a week of learning, chess-themed crafts and field trips, live action chess with a concluding chess tournament. Snacks are provided, but participants must bring a bag lunch each day.
The lead instructor is Jeff LaVeen, a National Expert player. The Camp Dean is David Bills who has many years of experience teaching chess to elementary children, coaching tournament players and state championship teams.
The 2012 camp will take place July 16-20 and runs from 9 am to 4 pm. Anyone 1st grade and up and either unrated or rated up to 1,500 is invited. Before and after care is available for an additional fee. Space is limited so be sure to register early.
