The continued Christian education of our youth is very important at First Church.  To that end, the church offers several classes aimed to promote spiritual growth and fellowship.

Confirmation:  All youth in grades 7-12 are invited to participate in the two year Confirmation program at 9:45 each Sunday morning.  They may start in any year.  After they complete the program, they are confirmed in worship on the third Sunday in May.  The youth study such Christian topics as:  church history, basic Christian beliefs, Methodism and what it means to be confirmed as a Christian at First Church.  (September - June)  Confirmation One - Room 112; Confirmation Two - Room 111

Middle School Sunday School:  Grade 6, plus those in grades 7 & 8 who are not involved in Confirmation, can attend Sunday School together at 9:45 a.m.  They will study the Bible and discuss how it applies to their own lives.  (September - June)  Room 108

Senior High Sunday School:  Grades 9, 10, 11 and 12, who are not involved in Confirmation, meet Sunday mornings at 9:45 a.m. to discuss various issues relative to their faith.  (September - June)  Room 110

Confirmation Retreat
February 12-14

Come and learn more about the awesome time that God has for you! We will meet at the church at 6:30 pm on Friday, Feb. 12 and you should be picked up at 11:30 am on Sunday morning. Please eat dinner on Friday evening before you come to church.

We will experience Christmas, Easter, snow tubing, the Real You, games, the movie "Amazing Grace," and, of course, we'll have lots of food! The cost is $30 which covers everything including snow tubing on Saturday afternoon. We will be showering on Saturday evening, so be sure you bring a towel. If you don't already have one on file you will need an emergency medical form and the Boston Mills release form. On Saturday evening we will attend a worship service, so the retreat will also help you with your confirmation requirement of attending a different worship service.

Please bring: a snack and 2 liter pop or other drink to share, sleeping bag, pillow, toothbrush, toothpaste, comb, clothes for Saturday, Sunday, and snow tubing games, Bible, confimation notebook, pen or pencil, and towel.
