Epworth Pasta Dinner
Saturday, January 28

The Epworth Youth Pasta Dinner will take place on Saturday, January 28 from 4:30 to 7 pm in Wesley Hall. They will serve you pasta, salad, bread, dessert and beverages. Tickets are $8 for adults ($10 at the door), $5 for children from 4-10 years old and free for those 3 and under. Tickets may be purchased from any Epworth youth, in the parlor on Sundays, or in the office during the week. The proceeds will go toward the Epworth Spring Tour in March.

Concert Series

Dean and Friends


On Saturday, January 28, the popular Dean and Friends concert returns. It will begin at 7:30 pm in the sanctuary and will feature music from the movies including music from Star Wars, Breakfast at Tiffany’s, Raiders of the Lost Ark, Cars, Schindler’s List and many more. A freewill offering will be taken. It will be an entertaining evening!


Men's Time Out
Saturday, February 4
8:30 - 9:30 am

All men of the church and community are invited for a light breakfast, great conversation and fellowship on the first Saturday of every month. There will be no meeting in July.

Boy Scout Troop 152 would like to thank First United Methodist Church and all its members for its unwavering support. Please join them for the annual Pancake Breakfast on Sunday, February 1, from 8:00 am - 12:30 pm. This year's pancake breakfast is FREE! Please bring yourself and your family and enjoy pancakes, sausage, coffee, juice, and friendship with us.

The February meeting will showcase James Marron, a classical guitarist and composer. It will take place on Thursday, February 9, at 1 pm. Mr. Marron will present “A History of the Guitar,” featuring music from the Renaissance, Baroque, Classical, Romantic and Contemporary periods. He is a graduate of the Manhattan School of Music in New York and is currently on the faculty at the University of Akron.


Acme Receipts

Please remember to save your Acme receipts dated from August 11 to December 31, 2016. The church receives 5% on qualifying products which are tallied at the bottom of the receipt. The money is used to fund projects at Work Camp. Please turn the receipts in to the Education office by February 1.


 A Congregational Mission Project

Remember to bring in new or like-new and clean hats, mittens, scarves and new socks for any age or gender and them to a marked bin in the Parlor from now through March 13 .After each service, all members are encouraged to pack up several items, each into their own plastic bag and label the bags with size and gender.there, bagged items can be taken outside to a prepared hanging space on the Portage Trail side of the church or taken to a destination chosen by the member -either to a charity or another location for their dispersal.
