First Church has a long tradition of outstanding church music and training of children, from age four on up, to sing their faith with joy and meaning. Children and youth choirs join with the adult choirs in singing the hymns and anthems on many Sunday mornings.
Our adult Chancel Choir is the service choir each Sunday at the 11:00 a.m. service. The Epworth Choir is the service choir each Sunday at the 8:30 a.m. service. In addition, both choirs perform concerts throughout the year as a part of our church's Arts Series. The Epworth Choir conducts an annual spring concert tour where they travel throughout the United States and Canada as ambassadors for Christ. In the past, our adult Chancel Ringers toured through Germany, while the Chancel Choir, with the Chancel Ringers, toured in England. Occasionally, our handbell and vocal groups, both children and adult, present concerts out in the community.
